Despite Prince Archie’s birthday celebrations on Saturday, royal expert Tom Quinn has claimed that the Duchess of Sussex will likely be “glued” to the television as she watches King Charles’s Coronation from afar. The 41-year-old opted to remain in the States with Archie and 22-month-old Lilibet. Leaving his family at home, Prince Harry will fly to the UK solo.

Speaking about the prospect of Meghan watching the Coronation on the day, Mr Quinn told Express.co.uk: “She will be absolutely glued to it. I think she will tell her friends that she didn’t watch it at all.”
He added: “She will be watching, to a large extent, for the same reason the rest of us will watch it. She will be looking to see whether, you know, if she can sense that Harry’s being snubbed in any way.”
Mr Quinn also claims that the Duchess could use this as her “reason” for her no-show in a “couple of weeks”.
He added: “I wouldn’t be at all surprised if, in a couple of weeks from now, she will say ‘look what happened to Harry, William just snubbed him, his father looked angry, and Camilla barely spoke a word to him’.”
He believes that she could turn around and use that as the “reason” she didn’t go.
Meghan will “definitely be watching”, but maybe “for all the wrong reasons”, the author added.
Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams also told Express.co.uk that he believes Meghan will tune in on May 6, saying: “She couldn’t resist. Archie’s birthday was her excuse to stay away.”
No official reason for Meghan’s no-show has been given, although many believe it is because of Archie’s birthday.
According to PEOPLE, the mother-of-two is planning on celebrating the day with Archie and his little sister.
As well as Archie, Prince Harry and Meghan also share a 22-month-old daughter named Lilibet who will turn two on June 4.
It has been widely speculated that the two children were not included on the Coronation invite – with some experts deeming this a strange move.
Speaking previously to True Royalty TV’s The Royal Beat, royal expert and historian Dr Tessa Dunlop claimed that Archie is “definitely not too young” to attend the Coronation.
