Meghan Markle joined husband Prince Harry at the Intrepid Museum’s 2021 Salute to Freedom gala in New York. The pair hit the red carpet before Harry presented the inaugural Intrepid Valor Awards to veterans and military families “living with the invisible wounds of war.” The couple wowed, with Harry in a smart tuxedo and military badges and Meghan wearing a red Carolina Herrera gown.
According to her beloved makeup artist, Daniel Martin, these were the products used to create the Duchess’s glowy look.
Mr Martin told Allure: “With her hair pulled up, I wanted to kind of pull everything back.
“What I was excited about was that I was able to introduce Meghan to these brands that she had never heard of.
Mr Martin prepped Meghan’s face with TATCHA products, adding: “I don’t use foundation all over her face, so it’s really important for me to get her skin to a good place so that any redness and unevenness I can correct with just a bit of foundation — that’s usually more full coverage — that I can sheer out.

He then spoke about the staple of Meghan’s look, the bright purple eyeliner.
He said: “I’ve always loved purple and red together — that combination to me is beautiful, so I wanted to play on that but still give you that shaping without it being too deep.
To create the purple cat-eye, he used shade Aurora from the Danessa Myricks Lightwork Palette Volume III.

During the ceremony Prince Harry gave a heartfelt speech reflection on his 10 year service in the military.
“I served 10 years in the military, including two tours of duty in Afghanistan – one as an FAC (Forward Air Controller) on the ground and in the dust with some of you, another as an Apache helicopter pilot in the air supporting and talking with you.
My experience in the military made me who I am today, and I will always be grateful for the people I got to serve with – wherever in the world we were.”
