Meghan Markle’s former best friend, Jessica Mulroney, has shared a cryptic post on her Instagram page on the same day as the release of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s latest Netflix trailer for the upcoming final three episodes. The 42-year-old, who stayed silent on social media following the release of the first three episodes, reposted a quote on her Instagram story which read: “Best thing I ever did was learn how to move without the crowd”.
Meghan and Jessica met after both working on the set of the US TV show, Suits.
The pair formed a close friendship and became firm friends, with Jessica attending Meghan’s wedding to Prince Harry in 2018.
However, Meghan is thought to have distanced herself from Jessica, after her former best friend caused controversy over a comment she made regarding the Black Lives Matter movement.
Jessica was called out by lifestyle blogger Sasha Exeter for comments she made regarding ‘white privilege’ during a conversation about the movement in 2020.
The 42-year-old went on to comment on the video, seemingly referring to Meghan, who is mixed-race.
She wrote: “You are right when you say ‘this — needs to stop.
“As leaders, we need to join hands and call out wrongs. I know we have different experiences. And that is something that, even in the course of a heated argument, I need to acknowledge and understand. I am unequivocally sorry for not doing that with you, and for any hurt I caused.”
Ms Mulroney added: “”As I told you privately, I have lived a very public and personal experience with my closest friend where race was front and centre. It was deeply educational. I learned a lot from that.

Showing their closeness, Meghan chose Jessica’s children to be part of her 2018 wedding day.

On the second episode of Harry and Meghan, which was released on Netflix on December 8, Jessica was mentioned in a video shared.
In the clip, Meghan was seen calling Jessica moments before Harry proposed in 2017.
As Meghan approach the setting, where Harry had set up a romantic scene, the 41-year-old can be heard telling her friend, via a phone call, “Oh my god Jess, It’s happening. He told me not to peek”.
After speaking of their former relationship, the source also added that Jessica will “always have love” for Meghan and that, “of course, Meghan has been worried about Jessica”.
