The Duke of Sussex once revealed to a journalist that he harboured deep pain over the decision for him and older brother Prince William to walk behind the coffin of their beloved mother Diana. The funeral of the Princess of Wales was a seismic moment for Prince Harry and his elder sibling as the pair were forced the deal with a terrible loss while in the public eye as central members of the Royal Family.
Royal biographer Angela Levin told Channel 5’s ‘Charles & Harry: Father and Son Divided’: “I went to Kensington Palace for an interview with Prince Harry.
“We were making polite conversation and he suddenly stopped and went very silent.
“And then he said, ‘It was the most terrible thing to make William and I walk behind our mother’s coffin, it should not have been allowed.’
“This went worldwide because he’d not really spoken about that before.”

She added: “Looking back on that terrible, tragic day, he was absolutely right.”
The revelation comes as the documentary explores the relationship between Prince Charles and his youngest son following Harry’s public revelations concerning the Royal Family.
Royal author Tom Quinn told the show’s producers: “There is no doubt the gulf between Harry and Charles had widened considerably.
“I mean I think if they are not careful it will be very difficult to bridge that divide in future
“I can’t see how they can do it.”

Grant Harrold, former butler to Charles, William and Harry told the Channel 5 documentary: “The damage is done.
“And that makes me sad because the relationship that I knew which was a loving, caring, fun relationship.
“Can never be like that again.”

Prince Charles‘s relationship with his son the Duke of Sussex has been under the spotlight following Prince Harry’s extraordinary comments to American actor Dax Shepard on his podcast Armchair Expert.
During the conversation, the Duke of Sussex appeared to criticise his father style of parenting.
Harry said: “There’s no blame. But certainly when it comes to parenting if I have experienced some kind of pain or suffering because of the pain or suffering that perhaps my father, or my parents had suffered.
“I’m going to make sure I break that cycle so I don’t pass it on.
