Mystery winner claims £11,000,000 lottery prize two weeks after draw

A lucky Brit has claimed an £11million National Lottery jackpot nearly two weeks after the draw.

Today lottery operator Camelot confirmed someone had come forward to claim the £11,042,269 prize.

The draw for the winning numbers had been made on October 30. The winner is yet to decide whether or not to go public.

Senior winners’ advisor for the National Lottery, Andy Carter, said: ‘We’re delighted this amazing prize has been claimed.

‘Our focus now is on supporting the ticket-holder through the process and helping them start to enjoy their life-changing win.’

It comes after seven people won £1million in the special Lotto Must be Won draw on Saturday.

But nobody bagged the £20million jackpot, which was shared between other winners.

Yesterday’s winning Lotto numbers were 10, 11, 18, 20, 37, 49 and the bonus ball was 5.

Meanwhile, the Thunderball numbers were 5, 8, 11, 23 and 36, while the Thunderball itself was 08.

Over the course of the Covid pandemic the National Lottery has distributed £1.2billion to charities and organisations to help them tackle the crisis.
