On Friday night, petrol bombs, bottles and masonry were thrown at officers in the Tiger’s Bay area.

Burning barricades were also blocking roads in Belfast and Coleraine, according to reports.

According to the BBC, a police officer was injured on Friday night “after some sort of brick or missile thrown at landrovers”.

It comes after 19 officers were injured on Thursday night.

It brings the total number of officers hurt up to 74 in a week of violence across Northern Ireland.
