The university eights were back on the Thames for the first time since 2019. The race was cancelled in 2020 and moved to Cambridgeshire last year due to the pandemic.

Oxford were clear favourites yesterday and the Dark Blues’ 16min 42sec triumph in the 167th race gave coach Sean Bowden his 13th win in 25 tries.
