Just over a week ago, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced they are expecting a second child. In December, Mike Tindall revealed that his wife Zara is pregnant with their third child on a podcast he co-hosts.

At the time a source close to the couple told the Telegraph: “Zara is four months pregnant and they are absolutely delighted to be able to share this news.”

Meghan and Harry did not reveal how many months the Duchess has been pregnant for but royal commentators have predicted she is about five months.

This could mean Meghan and Zara give birth at times very close together.

Their due dates could even fall in the same month, according to HELLO!

To announce their baby news, a spokesperson for the Sussexes said in a statement: “Archie is going to be a big brother.

“The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are overjoyed to be expecting their second child.”

Meghan and Harry also released a black and white picture which highlighted the Duchess’ prominent baby bump.

After the baby announcement, royal commentator Camilla Tominey told Today Extra: “Normally you would expect news to come along when she is three months, but we think she is about five months.”

If Ms Tominey’s predictions are correct, Meghan and Harry’s second child is likely to be due in the middle of 2021.

A source also told US Weekly: “Meghan fell pregnant again toward the end of last year. The baby is due at the end of spring.”

Meanwhile, Zara is thought to be due in May making her and Meghan’s possibly due dates very close.

Prince Harry is known to share a special bond with his cousin Zara after growing up together and showing support to each over the years.

The pair both have a love of sport and have been seen together at rugby matches and sports events in the past.

Zara’s husband Mike is a former English rugby union player himself.

In support of Harry’s Invictus Games in 2014, Zara and Mike took part in a game of wheelchair rugby alongside the Duke of Sussex.

According to reports, Harry may have introduced Zara to now husband Mike at a bar in Australia during the 2003 Rugby World Cup.

Harry is also Zara and Mike’s youngest daughter Lena’s godfather.

Meghan and Harry both attended Lena’s christening in 2019.

Meanwhile, Zara and Meghan share another connection in that they have both spoken publicly about the heartbreaking experience of suffering a miscarriage.

Zara was the first royal to speak publicly about her experience of losing a child after revealing to The Sunday Times she miscarried twice.

Writing in the New York Times, Meghan gave her account of the tragic miscarriage she experienced last year.

She wrote: “I knew, as I clutched my firstborn child, that I was losing my second.”
