Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s approval rating amongst Britons have dropped according to a new YouGov poll. The pollster found three in five Britons have a negative view of Harry while two-thirds asked now have expressed a low approval of Meghan.
YouGov’s findings represent a thirteen-point drop in support for Prince Harry.
59 per cent of Britons holding a negative opinion on the Duke marks the joint lowest score since 2011 when YouGov first started recording royal favorability.
Meghan also appears to have taken a hit on her approval with a seven-point fall since November.
The YouGov research found that almost two-thirds of respondents now hold a low opinion of the Duchess
The poll was carried out last week between Wednesday and Thursday and sought the opinion of 1,677 people.
It comes following the release of the Duke and Duchess’ bombshell Netflix series which launched fresh revelations and attacks on the Royal Family.
The Duke of Sussex claimed in a new trailer for part two of Harry & Meghan that people were “happy to lie” to protect his brother, the Prince of Wales.
The next episodes of the duke and duchess’s six-part Netflix series, which will air on Thursday morning, are set to explore their decision to step away from royal duties and make a life in America.
