The Duke of Sussex was praised by fans after it emerged he was hired by a life coaching company as a chief impact officer. With his new role at BetterUp, Harry seeks to “help create impact in people’s lives”.

Fans of the Duke took to social media to congratulate him for achieving a new milestone in his career just over a year after relinquishing his royal duties.

One Twitter wrote: “Prince Harry is America’s prince now. His getting a new job is breaking news!!”

Another commenter added: “Harry has done so much for injured veterans and continued his Mother’s work with aids and has made a huge difference in a lot of peoples lives.

“I can’t think of a better advocate to move forward.”

Addressing controversy regarding who would pay for the Sussexes’ security when they quit their royal roles, one person said: “The security stopped a long time ago, and whether this job was created specially for him, or he is filling an open one, good on him for doing it.

“As for those who think he should be stripped of his title, he is and always will be the Queens Grandson, the title of Prince is his by birth.”

Another user wrote: “Congratulations Harry!

“You deserve every good thing in your life.

“When one door closes, another one opens to a whole new world filled with new adventures and opportunities. Good luck.”

Following their move to the US, the Duke and the Duchess of Sussex achieved financial independence from The Firm by signing deals with Spotify and Netflix.

Meghan also secured her own business ventures including an investment in vegan coffee brand Clevr Blends.

Harry’s new job helps establish his status as a mental health advocate.

BetterUp describes its purpose as “Changing the world by bringing the power of transformation to people everywhere.

“We fuel whole person growth through individual coaching and custom support.”
