Prince Harry has been called “Britain’s most significant export” by a royal correspondent following the release of his new Apple TV+ documentary series with Oprah Winfrey. Expert Sandro Monetti said the Duke of Sussex has “star power” and is already creating a big name for himself in Los Angeles after his recent media appearances.  Mr Monetti told Sky News: “Prince Harry kept his innermost feelings to himself for years, but now every time he sees Oprah and her microphone, he just can’t stop spilling them out.

“This guy is huge box office, in fact, I’d go as far as to say he is Britain’s most significant export.”

“No one is ambivalent, and that’s what makes Harry and Meghan such a huge brand in celebrity-crazy Hollywood.”

Prince Harry has recently participated in the 5-part documentary ‘The Me You Can’t See’ which aims to destigmatize conversations around mental health.

The Prince was both a co-creator and co-producer of the series alongside US chat-show host Oprah Winfrey.

This was the second collaboration between Oprah and the Duke of Sussex, following his and Meghan Markle’s 2-hour long tell-all interview in March.

Mr Monetti continued:  “He does have star power here in Los Angeles. He has deals with both Netflix and Apple TV. We’re looking at The Me You Can’t See town-hall meeting and what an extraordinary series that is.”

“Whether you love or hate Harry, you can’t deny it’s compelling television.”

In both interviews with Oprah, Prince Harry has detailed his reasons for leaving the Royal Family, his criticism of the monarchy, and the impact royal life had on his mental health.

The Duke has also spoken about the death of his mother Princess Diana in 1997 in a car crash, and the anger and trauma it inflicted upon him as a child.

He accused the Royal Family of “total neglect” in addressing issues of mental health and for ignoring his wife’s desperate attempts to access support.

This resulted in Meghan Markle feeling suicidal whilst she was pregnant with the couple’s first child.

The couple’s interview with Oprah in March has been viewed by over 49 million people across the globe and was described as ‘devastating’ for the Royal Family.

Prince Harry has also made an appearance on James Corden’s The Late Late Show and in an episode of Dax Shepard’s podcast Armchair Expert.

Whilst talking to Dax Shepard, Harry made further revelations about life as a working royal. He described being in the Royal Family as a cross between The Truman Show and being in a zoo.

His comments are said to have ‘deeply upset’ the Queen, who is currently still grieving for her husband Prince Philip.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced they were stepping back from their roles as senior working royals in January 2020. They agreed to relinquish their royal patronages and ceased to represent the Queen on formal occasions.

Since then, the couple have moved to Montecito, California with their two-year-old son Archie Harrison.

In a bid to become financially independent, they have signed on to deals with Netflix and Spotify that are estimated to be worth over £100 million.
