Prince William and Kate, Duchess of Cambridge welcomed their third child, Prince Louis of Cambridge, on April 23, 2018, at St Mary’s Hospital in London. Louis lives with his parents and siblings Prince George and Princess Charlotte in Kensington Palace and Anmer Hall in Norfolk, and he started his education at Wilcocks Nursery School in the capital. Louis has often made royal fans giggle with his hilarious facial expressions at royal events, and he’s expected to make another appearance this year on the Buckingham Palace balcony for Trooping the Colour 2022.

Prince Louis’ birth

Just like they did for the births of Prince George and Princess Charlotte, Kate and William posed with their new baby on the steps of the Lindo Wing with their newborn son Prince Louis four years ago. Louis was born at 11.01am and he weighed eight pounds and seven ounces.

Prince Louis’ christening

Prince Louis was sound asleep as his family members gathered at St James’s Palace for his christening in July 2018. Louis wore a replica of the christening gown worn by Queen Victoria and Prince Albert’s baby daughter Princess Victoria in the 1800s.

Prince Louis’ Trooping the Colour debut

In June 2019, Prince Louis made his first appearance on the Buckingham Palace balcony for the Queen’s annual birthday parade, Trooping the Colour. Louis delighted his parents with his fascination with the RAF flypast and his cheerful waving to the crowds!

The Cambridge family stepped out for The King Power Royal Charity Polo Day at Billingbear Polo Club in Wokingham in July 2019. And little Louis, who was just one at the time, looked delighted by the picnic mum Kate had packed for him and his siblings.

Prince Louis joins his family for Clap for Carers

The Cambridge family appeared on BBC Children in Need and Comic Relief’s Big Night In in April 2020 to clap for carers, and they all wore blue outfits to show their support for the NHS. Louis looked very dapper in Kate’s arms in a blue jumper and shirt and a pair of shorts.

Prince Louis walks the red carpet

Louis, Charlotte and George were treated to a pantomime performance at London’s Palladium Theatre hosted by the National Lottery in December 2020. Little Louis was a natural as he took to the red carpet in front of the press, and he held mum Kate’s hand for support.

Prince Louis asks David Attenborough about his favourite animal

In a short video clip with his siblings that was posted on social media, Prince Louis asked the famous nature presenter, Sir David Attenborough, a question about the natural world. Royal fans were delighted when Louis asked: “What animal do you like?” while clutching some leaves in the garden.
