Queen and Prince Philip will receive vaccine confirms Raab
Prince Philip remains in residence at Windsor this year, where he has spent the pandemic alongside the Queen and their staff. Staffers have formed the “HMS Bubble” with the two royals, who now 99 and 94, require a high degree of protection from the virus. But information on the elderly Prince’s health, which is usually rare anyway, has been kept under wraps.
When did we last see Prince Philip?
Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh, is rarely seen in public.
He retired in 2017 and has debuted even less this year due to the pandemic.
But he hasn’t spent the whole year tucked away and has made some fleeting appearances.

The last time the Prince appeared in “public” for an official engagement was mid-pandemic.
He debuted at Windsor Castle in July to hand the British Army Rifles Regiment to his daughter-in-law.
Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, took over from the Duke in a public summer ceremony.
Since then, people have spotted the Prince as he travelled with the Queen to Balmoral for their annual holiday.
The Royal Family has released pictures of the Prince and the Queen since then.
Pictures included a portrait of the couple at Windsor, and most recently opening Christmas cards from their grandchildren.
Prince Philip also released a rare statement in the run-up to Christmas for one of his remaining patronages.
He praised the Chartered College of Teaching in a letter thanking them for their work during the pandemic.

The Royal Family posted the statement via its official Twitter account.
Prince Philip wrote: “I commend all teachers and school staff for your professional and resolute commitment throughout the past year to teaching our children and young people in the most challenging conditions.”
“As Patron of the Chartered College of Teaching, I wish to thank you all for your selfless dedication and send you my best wishes for a well-deserved break over Christmas and the New Year.”
His overall health is currently unknown, following a “wobble” last year.
How is Prince Philip?
The Royal Family has not explicitly addressed Prince Philip’s health this year, but royal fans will likely take his recent appearances as encouraging.
People last learned of his health in 2019 when he allegedly suffered a “bit of a wobble”.
A source told The Sun in November: “A few weeks ago Philip had a bit of a wobble and hasn’t felt so energetic.
“He has been living quietly at Sandringham, where he spends most of his time reading and pottering about.”
