Prince William crowned most popular royal – Meghan, Harry and Andrew humiliated

Prince William’s ‘wish’ was ‘listened to by Queen’ says insider

Prince William has overtaken his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, to take the coveted title of most popular UK royal, according to the latest polling data. The Duke of Cambridge stands with a 75 percent positive rating, followed by the Queen with 73 percent and Kate, Duchess of Cambridge on 67 percent.

Several royals have slid down the rankings, including Prince Harry and Meghan Markle – who quit as senior members of the Royal Family last year.

Prince Harry ranks as the eighth most popular royal, with respondents to the survey giving him a 41 percent positive opinion and a 32 percent negative rating.

The Duke has the highest negative opinion total among the top 10 ranking royals.

His wife Meghan ranks lower, however, coming in 11th place with a 32 percent positive ranking and a whopping 40 percent negative rating.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have seen their popularity drop significantly over the past few months.

The previous polling data from YouGov found 48 percent of adults had a positive impression of Harry, showing his ratings have dropped seven percent.

His negative ratings have improved slightly, however, as the October survey found 47 percent held a negative view.

Meghan’s popularity has also dropped slightly, as she evoked a 33 percent positive response last October.
