Every year, the Queen and members of the Royal Family get together to spend Christmas at Sandringham in Norfolk. The Queen is thought to be looking forward to spending Christmas at Sandringham once again this year, having spent Christmas at Windsor last year. The Queen’s private residence has served as the backdrop for royal Christmases for decades.
In addition to their traditional walk to church on Christmas Day morning, the Royal Family has a whole host of Christmas traditions, just like any other family.
There’s a delicious Christmas lunch, a gift exchange on Christmas Eve and reportedly, fun and games on Christmas Day.
Wonderfully, the Royal Family are also thought to watch the Queen’s pre-recorded Christmas speech every year.
And just like the rest of the nation, the royals also have their own favourite festive films that they watch year after year.

The Queen’s favourite Christmas film is reported to be quite an unusual one.
During an interview with Yahoo Movies a few years ago, actor Brian Blessed revealed the Queen was a huge fan of Flash Gordon.
The Queen also reportedly asked Mr Blessed to recite a famous line from the film.
Mr Blessed starred in the 1980s sci-fi hit as Prince Vultan.
He said: “The Queen, it’s her favourite film, she watches it with her grandchildren every Christmas.”
He then added, impersonating the Queen: “You know, we watch Flash Gordon all the time, me and the grandchildren.”
“And if you don’t mind, I’ve got the grandchildren here, would you mind saying ‘Gordon’s alive’?”
Prince William was recently interviewed on a radio station at the Royal Marsden Hospital, and he revealed how he likes to spend Christmas with his family.
He said: “Food is quite important to me at Christmas. I do tend to eat a lot at Christmas.
“There’s always a tiny little bit of space left in my stomach somewhere for a bit more turkey or sausage or, you know, a bit of wine.”
And the Prince also revealed his favourite Christmas film that always makes him giggle is Elf starring Will Ferrell.
He said: “It’s very funny and I keep watching it every Christmas, it still makes me laugh.”
During the interview, William also revealed his favourite “jolly” Christmas song.
He added: “I could say Mariah Carey … as well, it’s a good one, and obviously there are many others but I think I’ll probably go for Feliz Navidad – it’s a bit more jolly.”
