Princess Beatrice, 32, and Sarah Ferguson, 60, enjoyed some quality mother-daughter time at the weekend as they were photographed out driving in a Range Rover together near Windsor. Beatrice was behind the wheel while Fergie sat in the passenger seat as they drove near Prince Andrew’s Great Windsor Park residence the Royal Lodge.

Beatrice lives in London with her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi and spent lockdown in the capital apart from her parents.

However, now lockdown restrictions have been eased it seems the princess is making the most of being able to spend time with her family.

Last month, Edo and Bea were photographed enjoying a romantic meal together in London not long after restaurants reopened.

They are understood to live in an apartment at St James’s Palace that Bea once shared with her sister Princess Eugenie, 30, who became a mum earlier this year when she gave birth to a son August Philip Hawke in February.

While Eugenie and her husband Jack previously lived in a cottage in the grounds of Kensington Palace, they relocated to Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s Windsor home Frogmore Cottage ahead of Christmas last year.

Frogmore is a short distance from Eugenie’s family home and she is understood to have bubbled with her parents who have been lending a hand with childcare since Baby August’s arrival.

Sarah has previously shared her joy at becoming a grandmother and seems delighted to be able to help out with looking after little August.

Following her grandson’s birth, she tweeted: “As Grandparents, The Duke and I are thrilled and blessed at the arrival of our grandson August Philip Hawke Brooksbank.”

She added: “He is a beautiful blessing and a bringer of such love and joy to all our Family.

“I am so proud of Jack and Eugenie, they are and will be wonderful parents.”

She also told Hello: “August Philip Hawke Brooksbank, a wonderful grandson and he brings such joy, smiles and love to all our family.”

As Eugenie lives in Windsor she is likely to have spent more time with Fergie than Beatrice in recent weeks.

Beatrice and Fergie’s weekend outing may have been a treasured chance for them to reconnect one on one.

Eugenie, Beatrice and their father Prince Andrew were among the royals to attend Prince Philip’s funeral on April 17.

While Andrew withdrew from public duties in 2019, following an ill-received interview about his friendship with deceased paedophile Jeffrey Epstein, he stepped back into the spotlight following his father’s death.

Andrew was one of the first people to share how the Queen was doing following the loss of her husband.

After attending a service in Windsor to honour the Duke of the day after his death, Andrew told reporters: “The Queen as you would expect is an incredibly stoic person.

“She described his passing as a miracle and she’s contemplating, I think is the way that I would put it.

“She described it as having left a huge void in her life but we, the family, the ones that are close, are rallying round to make sure that we’re there to support her.”

The Queen delivered her Queen’s Speech at the Parliament last week – her first major public engagement since Philip’s death.
