Princess Beatrice announces she's expecting first child with husband Edoardo

Princess Beatrice is expecting her first child with husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, the Royal Family has announced.

A spokesperson for the couple said: ‘Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrice and Mr Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi are very pleased to announce that they are expecting a baby in autumn of this year.

‘The Queen has been informed and both families are delighted with the news.’

Beatrice, the oldest daughter of Prince Andrew, and Edoardo got married in July last year at the Royal Chapel of All Saints, Royal Lodge, Windsor.

The couple knew each other for a long time before they began dating in 2018, and became engaged in September 2019.

Edoardo is already a father to a son Christopher, who he shares with former partner Dara Huang.

The new baby will be the Queen’s 12th great-grandchild following the arrival of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s second child in the summer.
