On Sunday, a christening ceremony will reportedly be held in a private church that forms part of the Royal Lodge house for two royal babies. Princess Eugenie’s first child and the third child of Zara Tindall will be christened together in the joint ceremony.

Princess Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank welcomed baby August to the world on February 9.

August will be christened in a private ceremony alongside his second cousin Lucas Philip Tindall.

Lucas is the third child of Zara and Mike Tindall, and he was born on March 21.

It is believed this occasion will be the first time two royals have been baptised together in this way.

Royal christening ceremonies are traditionally a cause for celebration, and often Royal Family members gather to celebrate the occasion.

Due to the close-knit bond shared between the royal sisters, it is likely that Beatrice, 33, will be in attendance to celebrate her younger sister’s bundle of joy.

2021 saw them both become mothers, so it is likely that the sisters have bonded further over their new additions to the family and the trials and tribulations of motherhood.

Princess Beatrice gave birth to her first child on September 18, Sienna Elizabeth Mapelli Mozzi.

However, since then, the eldest daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson has yet to share an image of her family’s new addition.

Announcing the birth, Beatrice took to Twitter to share an image of her baby’s footprints with the caption “We are delighted to share that we have named our daughter Sienna Elizabeth Mapelli Mozzi.

“We are all doing well and Wolfie [Edo’s child from a previous relationship] is the best big brother to Sienna.”

The Royal Family’s joint-christening ceremony could give royal fans the first glimpse at Edo and Beatrice’s little girl.

Despite no official image being shared, just three weeks after she was born, the couple, who married in July 2020, were spotted taking the baby for a walk in London.

However, royal fans were unable to catch a glimpse of the newborn in the pushchair, which was being controlled by Edo, while Beatrice walked alongside wearing a casual outfit that included tracksuit bottoms and a quilted coat.

Both her and Eugenie were complimented recently by their mother, the Duchess of York who described them as “phenomenal mothers”.

The 62-year-old gushed with pride over her daughters during an interview with Hello! last month.

She told the outlet: “My children are phenomenal mothers.

“They were great children but now they’re phenomenal mothers. And now, I have these two exceptional grandchildren all in one year.”

She added: “You know it’s pretty incredible, but everyone asks me, ‘How are your grandchildren?’ Well, firstly, I look at my girls being wonderful mothers and then I see these incredible beings.”

Eugenie and Beatrice made a surprise appearance at the event to launch the Loci vegan sneaker in aid of Blue Marine Foundation on Wednesday.

Both sisters left their babies at home to attend the intimate dinner.

Buckingham Palace declined to comment on reports of the planned double-christening.
