Bookmakers William Hill make Elizabeth the favourite name for Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi’s first child.
The royal gave birth to her little girl on Sunday, who is 11th in line to the throne and the Queen’s 12th great-grandchild.
Ladbrokes have Matilda as the favourite Monika for the royal baby.
The Daily Express’s royal correspondent Richard Palmer tweeted: “Bookmakers Ladbrokes made Matilda the initial favourite for Princess Beatrice’s baby’s name.
“Rivals William Hill started off with Florence but now make Elizabeth favourite.”
Buckingham Palace announced the arrival of Beatrice’s daughter on Monday.
The palace said in a statement: “Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrice and Mr Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi are delighted to announce the safe arrival of their daughter on Saturday 18th September 2021, at 23.42, at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, London.
“The baby weighs 6lb and 2oz.
“The new baby’s grandparents and great-grandparents have all been informed and are delighted with the news.
“The family would like to thank all the staff at the hospital for their wonderful care.
“Her Royal Highness and her child are both doing well, and the couple are looking forward to introducing their daughter to her big brother Christopher Woolf.”
Beatrice is already stepmother to Mr Mapelli Mozzi’s young son “Wolfie”, from his previous relationship with ex-fiancee Dara Huang.
And her younger sister Princess Eugenie had a baby boy, August, in February.
The sisters will be delighted to have their children so close together in age and to share the experience of being first-time mothers.
Beatrice and Mr Mapelli Mozzi tied the knot in a secret lockdown wedding in July 2020.
