Royals: Kate and Wills set the launch of ‘Shaping Us’ campaign
Princess Kate has released a new video celebrating six months of a special campaign she’s involved in.
The Royal has been working on the #ShapingUs campaign to help spread awareness about the “importance of early childhood”.
The campaign, launched in January 2023 by the Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood (RCEC), has seen Princess Kate hold meetings with care professionals and famous personalities, including Professor Green, another champion of the Shaping Us campaign.
Kate described the first six months as “wonderful” as she posted the new footage showing just some of the work she has been doing.
In a social media post accompanying the video, she wrote: “Six months of #ShapingUs!

“Our campaign highlights the importance of early childhood and how it can shape the adults we become. From pregnancy to the age of five, our brains develop at an exponential rate. It’s been a wonderful six months of spreading awareness far and wide, with so much more to come.”
The campaign is understood to be extremely important to the Princess of Wales, and according to Hello! magazine it is understood to be her “life’s work”.
Talking about the Shaping Us campaign at the time of its launch, Kate said: “The campaign is fundamentally about shining a spotlight on the critical importance of early childhood and how it shapes the adults we become.
“During this time we lay the foundations and building blocks for life.
“And it is when we learn to understand ourselves, understand others and understand the world in which we live.
“This is why it is essential to not only understand the unique importance of our earliest years but to know what we can all do to help raise future generations of happy, healthy adults.”
Among the shots in the video are pictures from the various meetings Kate has been to, including the famous faces she has met.
Users on social media quickly shared their respect for the campaign. One user wrote: “Such an important campaign. I can’t wait to see the next steps”.
