Queen and Philip will be ‘home alone’ for Christmas says expert
The Royal Family’s Christmas plans have been curtailed due to the coronavirus pandemic. Royal expert Roya Nikkhah told ITV’s Lorraine programme that Queen Elizabeth II will be very saddened by the fact she will be separated from her family on Christmas day.
Mr Nikkhah said: “This year for the first time since 1988 the Queen is going be at Windsor Castle, home alone with Philip.
“This is where she has been isolating for most of the lockdowns.
“The Royal Family is all over the place. There was some hope that Charles and Camilla would be able to visit her at some point during the day.
“They are in Gloucestershire for Christmas but now with the Tier 4 restrictions, it is unlikely they will be able to do that.
