The Queen has postponed a diplomatic reception she was due to host at Windsor Castle next week on the advice of the Foreign Office.
Buckingham Palace made the announcement amid the ongoing crisis in Ukraine and with the Queen having cancelled a number of engagements this week after testing positive for Covid-19.
In a statement, the palace explained: ‘The Queen has accepted the Foreign
Secretary’s advice that the Diplomatic Reception at Windsor on Wednesday 2nd
March should be postponed.’
The move comes amid international outcry at the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

The Queen is said to have been continuing ‘light duties’ after catching the virus, with her symptoms said to only be mild.
She is understood to be triple jabbed and will have the best medical attention.
