BBC’S royal expert Rhiannon Mills highlighted that the current Covid restrictions may have worked in the Royal Family’s favour. Following the ceremony inside St. George’s Chapel, Ms Mills reflected on the role the Covid restrictions played in the funeral. She argued that the masks that everyone indoors had to wear may have allowed the Royals to hide their emotions more. 

She added that the Royals being separated and standing alone would have also allowed them to grieve more privately.
