The Duke of Sussex returned to the UK following the death of his grandfather, Prince Philip, and was reunited with his family face-to-face for the first time since March last year. But Harry’s visit was short as he quickly flew back to his heavily pregnant wife, Meghan Markle.
Other than attending the funeral, Harry barely left Frogmore Cottage, where he isolated on his return to the UK, according to reports.
While he did meet Charles privately for a two-hour discussion, he did not have time to speak to his brother, sister-in-law and nephews and niece.
And while Harry did meet privately with the Queen, he did not stay in England long enough to mark her birthday.
A royal source told Us Weekly: “Harry didn’t get to see [Prince] George, [Princess] Charlotte and [Prince] Louis in the UK.
“Aside from the day of Philip’s funeral and meeting privately with the Queen, he was in isolation at Frogmore.”
Harry’s short trip came after he and Meghan sat down with US media mogul Oprah Winfrey last month.
During their explosive interview, the couple claimed there were conversations about the colour of Archie’s skin before he was born.
Elsewhere in the interview – which sparked a royal crisis – Harry claimed he was cut off financially from his father.
Meghan also said she was close to suicidal during her 18-months as a royal and said she was not able to get any help.
Harry could be returning to the UK again in July as he will reportedly stand with William at the unveiling of a statue for Princess Diana, at Kensington Palace, on what would have been her 60th birthday.
