Royal expert Rachel Burchfield has called on the Royal Family to “modernize” under Prince Charles in order to avoid another Megxit. The editor of the ‘What Meghan Wore’ podcast has warned that the Firm could see similar rifts develop with women who marry into the Royal Family unless reforms are made. Ms Burchfield insisted that when the time comes, royal protocols that are seen to prevent female royals from speaking out need to “completely change.”
Ms Burchfield told Us Weekly: “We have to remember that the Queen is a woman of habit, a creature of habit.
“That protocol when her reign ends could completely change with Charles.
“As much as I love the Queen, I think there are some parts of her habits that should change.
“And should modernize.”

She continued: “I think we need to see these women, Meghan, Kate, any other woman who should marry into the Royal Family, not as royal wives but as women.
“As women who fell in love with a man, who just so happened to be royal.
“To treat them as a human with inherent value and give them the benefit of the doubt of being good people and not out for personal gain.
“Allow them the chance to love and be loved.”
