Royal fans in hysterics as Princess Anne’s hat blocks Harry’s view

Royal fans took to social media to express their amusement at Prince Harry’s predicament. One wrote: “Last time Prince Harry was obscured by a huge candle. This time, by Princess Anne’s hat.”

Another wrote: “Love that Princess Anne has a feather on her hat, can’t see Prince Harry’s face, a bit like the candle!”

Others questioned whether it had been a deliberate move. One Twitter user said: “Did they deliberately put Prince Harry behind Princess Anne’s massive hat?” Another user questioned: “Did Princess Anne wear that hat deliberately to p*** off Prince Harry?”

Whether the feathered hat was a deliberate move by the Princess Royal is unknown, but one user said it was “top trolling”.

The feathery blockade of Prince Harry’s view of the ceremony came minutes after he had entered Westminster Abbey.

The prince swaggered into the hall, nodding and interacting with fellow guests as he went to take his seat.

Before the main section of the ceremony began he was seen chatting with Jack Brooksbank as he sat near the aisle.

However, as Princess Anne sat down, it became clear that he would not get as clear a view of King Charles as he might have hoped.

Prince Harry’s attendance came after months of uncertainty over whether or not he would be allowed to come to the Coronation.

There were also questions over whether he would watch King Charles’s Coronation with or without Meghan Markle.

Days before the ceremony, it was announced that Harry would travel solo whilst Meghan stayed behind to look after their two children Prince Archie Harrison and Princess Lilibet Diana in California.

Following confirmation of his attendance, sources said Prince Harry had decided to come after a “heart-to-heart” conversation with King Charles.

The monarch was said to be “delighted” that Harry was to attend the ceremony, but “disappointed” that Meghan would not be present.

Although Prince Harry has attended the ceremony, questions have remained about how long he will stay in the UK.

Sources have suggested that he could be in the UK for just a matter of hours before flying back to the USA.

One source told the Sun: “Harry will be in and out of the UK in 24 hours. He will only be doing the Coronation service and then leaving.”
