The Prince of Wales is known to be keen on producing food, he founded Duchy Organics in 1990, to champion organic farming. Oaten biscuits were the first product to be sold under Duchy Organics.
However, when it comes to Charles eating, he has certain habits he sticks to, including skipping lunch.
Former royal correspondent Gordon Rayner revealed in The Telegraph: “Lunch is seen as a luxury that gets in the way of his work, so he eats a late breakfast and works through.
“I found this out the hard way, by going hungry when I started covering royal tours and watching enviously as his long-suffering staff produced snacks from pockets so they could eat on the go.”
The Prince of Wales, an advocate for animal welfare and environmental concerns has also banned Royal chefs from buying foie gras.
Foie gras, known as the liver of a duck or goose, in the process of making it, male ducks have pipes rammed down their throats.
Prince Charles during his work has supported protecting animal populations.
In 2008, Charles’ deputy master of the household, Andrew Farquharson, commented: “The Prince of Wales has a policy that his chefs should not buy foie gras.”
According to a former Royal Chef, the Prince of Wales is impartial to a well cooked mushroom risotto.
Former royal chef Darren McGrady told Delish Charles selects the “most amazing” mushrooms for his meals.
Mr McGrady said: “I cooked lamb a lot at Buckingham Palace.
“He was a foodie – into organic farming before it was even invented.
“He loves wild mushrooms and would take his chefs to Balmoral to show them where the best mushrooms are.

“We brought them back to Buckingham Palace and they were the most amazing porcini mushrooms.”
The Duchess of Cornwall has also explained some royals are not fans of Garlic.
Camilla previously revealed during an appearance on MasterChef Australia: “You always have to lay off the garlic.”
