Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi welcomed their baby daughter on September 18, at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. The royal baby is 11th in line to the throne behind her mother Beatrice, but her name is still unknown to the public.
When do royals announce baby names?
Now 10 days since Beatrice and Edoardo welcomed their bundle of joy, royal fans are desperate to know what name the couple have decided on.
However, a delay of this length is not unusual for the Royal Family when it comes to baby name announcements.
Some royals have been very quick to announce the names of their royal babies.
Kate, Duchess of Cambridge and Prince William waited two days to announce their son was called Prince George.
And Prince Charles and Princess Diana announced Prince Harry’s name a mere 24 hours after he was born.
But other royals have waited a while longer before announcing their royal baby’s name to the world.
Sarah Ferguson and Prince Andrew waited for two weeks before announcing Princess Beatrice’s name.
And Beatrice’s sister Princess Eugenie took almost a fortnight to announce her son’s name earlier this year.
After 11 days, Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank finally announced their son’s name as August Philip Hawke Brooksbank.
But the Queen perhaps took the longest to announce her baby’s name in comparison to any other royal in recent memory.
Then-Princess Elizabeth and the Duke of Edinburgh took a whole month to announce Prince Charles’s name in 1948.
So Beatrice could opt to follow suit and spend more time enjoying her time as a new mother, delaying her baby’s name announcement for several days or weeks more if she so chooses.

Are there any royal baby name traditions?
Members of the Royal Family are thought to inform the Queen of their chosen baby name, out of respect for the monarch.
But ultimately, royal couples are given free rein to pick their royal baby names themselves.
Many royals follow certain royal traditions, however, especially when it comes to middle names.
Most of the immediate Royal Family have paid tribute to the Queen with their choice of baby name.
Many royal women have the middle name Elizabeth, including Princess Charlotte, Lady Louise Windsor and Zara Tindall.
Princess Beatrice also has Elizabeth as one of her middle names, so she may wish to pass this name on to her daughter too.
Beatrice’s baby is also likely to take on her father’s surname of Mapelli Mozzi, as the baby will not get a royal title from the Queen.
