A woman has caused outrage after lashing out at a King’s Guard at the Horse Guards Parade in London. Footage of the incident, which has gone viral on TikTok, shows the woman standing in the path of the mounted guards while holding a can of Pringles.
Despite being asked to step back by the King’s Guard when he first passed her to salute his fellow guards, the woman stepped closer to the agitated horse of the mounted guard.
When the guard on foot walked back towards the gates, the woman moved into his path.
As expected of members of the King’s Guard, he shouted “make way” and used his arm to move the woman out of his way, leaving her furious.
She shoved her can of Pringles into him before asking nearby onlookers what had happened. She was given the response, “he asked you to move and you didn’t do it”.

The woman then pulled up her sleeve and claimed she had broken her arm in a bid to get sympathy from the crowd.
A police officer then appeared and asked her to leave, but the woman continued ranting at the mounted guard and the policeman. Eventually, she left the scene.
The King’s Guard, organised by the British Army’s Household Division, is responsible for protecting the official entrance to St. James’s Palace and Buckingham Palace, and they are known to carry out their duties no matter who stands in their way.
Many TikTok users commented on the video, with one saying: “The King’s Guards have a job to do, and some people need to respect them all.”

One TikTok user said: “The King’s Guard is not there for tourists to take photos with, they are there to protect the palace and its occupants.
“We should show them the respect they deserve.”
Another added: He didn’t push her she struck out with her arm at the guard
While another said: “He don’t [sic] actually push hear she was stood in the way”.
This isn’t the first time people have been barged out of the way by the King’s Guards after getting in their way.
Last week, a King’s Guard horse took its job to protect Buckingham Palace very seriously when a tourist stood too close for comfort.
The horse clamped down on a woman’s ponytail as she posed for a photo at the Horse Guards Parade, flailing her around until she broke free and scurried off.
