Zara Tindall reunited with Mike on the I’m a Celeb bridge
Zara Tindall has been described as a natural fit to take part in the next series of ITV’s I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! following her husband Mike Tindall’s success, finishing fourth on the show last year. Yet, a new Express.co.uk poll has shown 70 percent of readers oppose Princess Anne’s daughter appearing on the show.
Former royal butler Grant Harrold, who served King Charles III for seven years while he was the Prince of Wales, said that Zara’s down-to-earth nature would be good for the show.
He told Spin Genie that the King’s niece has more freedom than other members of the Firm. He said: “Could Zara go in the jungle? Absolutely she could, 100 percent. Why would she? Why not, great PR for the Royal Family.”
He added: “Mike did an amazing job of it and everyone loved him and I’m sure they got a lot of respect, so if his wife turned up I’m sure they’ll love it, absolutely love it. She’s down to earth, she’s fun, she’s naughty.”
In response, Express.co.uk ran a poll that ran from 4pm on Tuesday, March 28, to 2pm asking readers: “Should Zara Tindall go on I’m A Celebrity?”
A total of 1,520 readers responded, with 70 percent (1,062 people) answering, “no” Zara should not go on the next series, whereas 28 percent (421 people) said, “yes” she should. In addition, two percent (37 people) said they did not know.
Dozens of comments were left below the accompanying article as readers debated whether she should enter the Australian jungle.
