Mike made the claim on his podcast ‘The Good, The Bad and The Rugby’. In the latest episode, he appeared alongside former rugby player James Haskell and commentator Alex Payne.

Zara and Mike two daughters, Mia and Lena, and a son Lucas.

They were born in 2014, 2018 and March 2021 respectively.

On the podcast, Mike said: “It’s been a good, fun, family weekend.

“A great Saturday, because Zara’s horses were running so she went off to watch them, took the girls with her and I had the wee man, and literally you feed him, he goes to sleep, I went to the gym, he wakes up, I feed him.

“I watched rugby whilst I was feeding him, he went back to sleep.

“It was the best day. Just the house on your own.”

However the former England international had a significantly more active Sunday.

He commented: “And then we did a role reversal the next day and I had the girls, and it was carnage. Making, baking, taking Mia to rugby on Sunday.

“She’s into it, she says she is not into it.

“I don’t want to go, I never want to go,’ and when she gets there, she always has fun so…it was a good family weekend.”

Mike played for England 75 times between 2000 and 2011 and was part of the 2003 winning World Cup squad.

Zara, Princess Anne’s only daughter, and Mike met during the 2003 Rugby World Cup in Australia.

On Sunday Zara attended the Cirencester Park International Horse Trials.

Classical Euro Star, a horse she owns, took part in one of the races.

Zara was pictured wearing a comfortable jacket, jeans, a baseball hat and sunglasses.

Both Zara and Mike attended Prince Philip’s funeral on April 17.

Due to coronavirus restrictions, only 30 mourners were able to attend.

The service was held in Windsor Castle’s St George’s chapel.

Covid regulations meant the royals had to remain socially distanced with a picture of the Queen sitting on her own going viral on social media.
