Georgia murder suspect busted in Queens with AR-15

A Georgia murder suspect packing an AR-15 was busted in Queens, police said Thursday.

Michael Miata, 29, was picked up by the NYPD’s Regional Fugitive Task Force in an apartment on Metropolitan Avenue in Kew Gardens with the loaded rifle, Chief Rodney Harrison said in a tweet.

Miata was wanted for drug deal gone bad in Fulton County, law enforcement sources said. In addition to the loaded .223-caliber AR-15, he was found with a quantity of marijuana, cops said.

“Keep up the great work and as always, stay safe!” Chief Harrison wrote.

Miata will appear in court on Feb. 24, police said.

President Donald Trump mocked the Academy Awards for giving its best picture Oscar to Parasite, telling a rally crowd that

“And the winner is, a movie from South Korea. What the hell was all that about? We got enough problems with South Korea, on trade, and on top of it they give it the best movie of the year. Was it good?’

Peter Cook, 61, and his student fiancée Alba Jancou, 20, had a cozy lunch at Serafina Always Thursday.

“She was cheerful in a pink sweater and they chatted happily throughout the lunch,” a spy told Page Six. “They sat in a prime circular booth and people watched. It seemed like a romantic lunch date. They sat close and were like two peas in a pod. They were very chatty.”

People magazine reports that Katy Perry and her fellow “American Idol” judges Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie had to evacuate the set of the show because of a gas leak.

In a clip from the show, the “Firework” singer becomes increasingly freaked out about a strong propane smell until she eventually picks up her things and makes for the exit.

The clip shows Perry complaining of a headache before dropping to the ground as EMTs arrive.

The BBC reports that the UK charity, which spotlights environmental and heritage conservation in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, needs a new guide to replace a retiring staff member.

The Gunners became the first team all season to keep a clean sheet at Olympiacos’ Karaiskakis Stadium.

And Arteta was delighted with the efforts of a team which has now gone three games without conceding a goal.
