Accenture Completes Acquisition Of Benext
Accenture (ACN), a global professional services company with capabilities in digital, cloud and security on Wednesday announced the completion of its acquisition of Benext, a product consulting company specializing in product management, agile coaching, cloud-based development and data science.
Accenture had announced its intent to acquire BENEXT on September 7, 2021. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
The acquisition adds approximately 160 professionals to OCTO Technology, which is part of Accenture, and more broadly expands the European and global capabilities of Accenture Cloud First. OCTO Technology is a technology consultancy specializing in digital transformation and software development.
France-based Benext is a full-stack, product consulting company that helps clients design, organize, deploy, and manage digital products.
Shares of Accenture closed Tuesday’s trading at $327.69, up $1.19 or 0.36 percent from previous close.
European Economics Preview: Germany Factory Orders Data Due
Factory orders data from Germany is due on Wednesday, headlining a light day for the European economic news.
At 2.00 am ET, Destatis is slated to issue Germany’s factory orders data for August. Economists forecast orders to fall 2.1 percent on month, reversing a 3.4 percent rise in July.
At 3.00 am ET, Spain’s INE is scheduled to publish industrial production for August. Output is seen rising 3.5 percent on year, faster than the 3.4 percent increase in July.
In the meantime, retail sales and industrial output from Hungary are due.
Half an hour later, IHS Markit releases Germany’s construction Purchasing Managers’ survey data. Also, industrial output and new orders figures are due from Sweden.
At 4.30 am ET, UK Markit/CIPS construction PMI data is due. Economists expect the index to fall to 54.0 in September from 55.2 in the prior month.
At 5.00 am ET, Eurostat publishes Eurozone retail sales data for August. Sales are forecast to advance 0.8 percent on month, in contrast to the 2.3 percent decline posted in July.
Barratt Developments On Track To Deliver FY22 And Medium Term Targets – Quick Facts
While issuing a trading update for the period from 1 July to 10 October 2021, Barratt Developments Plc (BDEV.L) said the positive start to the new fiscal year has continued in recent weeks with private reservations remaining strong. The Group remains on track to deliver both its fiscal 2022 and medium term targets.
Net private reservations per average week was 281 compared to 288, a year ago. Net private reservations per active outlet per average week was 0.85 compared to 0.87. In the period, the Group delivered 3,699 home completions (including JVs), down 8.3% from last year.
Barratt Developments Plc also confirmed that Mike Scott will be joining the Group as an Executive Director and Chief Financial Officer on 6 December 2021.
Home Depot To Use Walmart’s Network For White-label Delivery
Home improvement retailer The Home Depot (HD), on Wednesday, said it will offer delivery with Walmart GoLocal in select markets in the coming weeks, with plans to expand to multiple markets across the country by the end of the year. Home Depot said products that qualify for this scheduled delivery, including tools, fasteners, paint and other supplies that easily fit in a car, will have that option enabled at online checkout.
“This partnership brings us even closer to our goal of offering same-day or next-day delivery to 90 percent of the U.S. population,” said Stephanie Smith, senior vice president of supply chain for The Home Depot.
Walmart (WMT) recently launched Walmart GoLocal which extends its expertise in delivering goods to customers to businesses of all sizes. This white-label delivery as a service furthers the retailer’s strategy to build alternative revenue streams and profit pools.

SeatGeek to go public via $1.35 billion deal with Billy Beane-backed SPAC
(Reuters) – SeatGeek on Wednesday agreed to go public in a merger with a special-purpose acquisition company, backed by baseball executive Billy Beane of “Moneyball” fame, giving the online ticketing firm an enterprise value of $1.35 billion.
Eli Lilly: FDA Approves Verzenio In Adjuvant Treatment Of HR+ HER2- Early Breast Cancer
Eli Lilly and Company (LLY) said the FDA has approved its Verzenio, in combination with endocrine therapy, for the adjuvant treatment of adult patients with hormone receptor-positive, human epidermal growth factor receptor 2-negative, node-positive, early breast cancer at high risk of recurrence and a Ki-67 score of at or above 20%.
Verzenio is already approved for the treatment of certain types of HR+ HER2- advanced or metastatic breast cancer. The FDA has expanded the use of Verzenio in all indications, when given in combination with endocrine therapy, to include men.
