TransDigm Re-initiates Guidance

TransDigm Group Incorporated (TDG) said, for fiscal 2023, the company expects: net sales to be in the range of $5.99 billion to $6.19 billion; and adjusted earnings per share to be in the range of $20.68 to $22.08. Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expect the company to report profit per share of $21.18 on revenue of $6.07 billion. Analysts’ estimates typically exclude special items.

The company expects fiscal 2023 net income from continuing operations in the range of $1.036 billion to $1.116 billion. Earnings per share from continuing operations is expected to be in the range of $17.45 to $18.85.

Fourth quarter adjusted earnings per share was $5.50, up 29% from $4.25 in the prior year’s quarter. Analysts on average had expected the company to earn $5.20 per share, according to figures compiled by Thomson Reuters.

Income from continuing operations was $266 million, up 27% from $209 million. Earnings per share from continuing operations was $3.98, up 11% from $3.58.

Net sales were $1.51 billion, up 18% from $1.28 billion. Analysts on average had estimated $1.51 billion in revenue.

Shares of TransDigm are up 2% in pre-market trade on Thursday.

US Employers Make New Commitments To Expand Workforce Development For Infrastructure Jobs

More than 300 organizations in the United States have committed to expand workforce development for jobs in the infrastructure sector as part of the Infrastructure Talent Pipeline Challenge.

Nearly 150 employers, unions, and community-based organizations will create or expand pre-apprenticeships, registered apprenticeships, and other high-quality training programs, the White House said.

More than 60 organizations will increase recruitment among workers who are traditionally underrepresented in infrastructure sectors.

Nearly 30 organizations will provide supportive services, such as child care and transportation assistance, to help workers overcome barriers to participating in apprenticeships and other training opportunities.

More than 50 institutions of higher education, including 30 community colleges and five community and technical college systems, will advance equitable workforce development for infrastructure jobs.

More than $70 million in aligned philanthropic commitments that advances the goals of the Talent Pipeline Challenge will impact tens of thousands of underrepresented workers.

President Joe Biden took part in the culminating event for the Talent Pipeline Challenge Wednesday.

Digi International Q4 Adj. Profit Rises

Digi International Inc. (DGII) reported fourth quarter adjusted EPS of $0.45, an increase of 80% from a year ago. On average, six analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report profit per share of $0.41, for the quarter. Analysts’ estimates typically exclude special items.

Net income increased to $11.22 million from $4.59 million, prior year. Net income per share was $0.31 compared to $0.13, an increase of 138%.

For the first quarter, the company expects revenues to be $101 million to $105 million, or 20% to 25% growth year over year. Adjusted EPS is anticipated to be $0.41 to $0.44. For fiscal 2023, the company projects revenue growth of 10%.
