Sean Hannity’s Promotion Of Conspiracy Theories Exposed In Scathing Supercut

CNN’s Brianna Keilar on Friday used a damning supercut to call out Fox News host Sean Hannity’s yearslong promotion of conspiracy theories on his widely watched show.

Keilar also accused Hannity of playing dumb on the dangerous QAnon movement, describing his claim to not know “a single conservative or single Republican who frankly even knows what QAnon” is as “disingenuous.”

Hannity’s denial was “straight out of the playbook of conservatives who pretend to not know what it’s about while either tepidly denouncing it or channeling the energy of its believers,” argued Keilar.

She later aired the montage of Hannity “mainlining” conspiracy theories — from his promotion of the racist birther lie about former President Barack Obama to his support of former President Donald Trump’s stolen election falsehoods and his sowing of unfounded doubt about COVID-19 vaccines.

China approves Sinovac Biotech Covid vaccine for general public use

  • It marks the second Covid-19 vaccine green-lighted for public use in China.
  • Indonesia, Turkey, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Uruguay, and Laos have granted emergency authorizations for the CoronaVac vaccine developed by Sinovac Life Sciences.

Sinovac Biotech said on Saturday that its unit's Covid-19 vaccine has been formally approved for use by the general public by China's medical products regulator.

It marks the second Covid-19 vaccine green-lighted for public use in China, after a shot developed by a Beijing institute affiliated to state-owned China National Pharmaceutical Group (Sinopharm) was approved in December.

Prior to the approvals, both vaccines have already been used in China's vaccination program mainly targeting key groups deemed to be at higher risk of exposure to the virus.

Indonesia, Turkey, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Uruguay, and Laos have granted emergency authorizations for the CoronaVac vaccine developed by Sinovac Life Sciences, Sinovac said in a news release.

The approval is based on the two-month results from late-stage clinical trials overseas, from which the final analysis data has not yet been obtained, Sinovac said.

A top Mercedes exec explains why it chose Alabama to build one of its most exclusive cars

  • Mercedes’ ultra-luxurious Mercedes-Maybach GLS600 is built not in Germany, but in Vance, Alabama.
  • The factory in Alabama is the brand’s only non-union plant.
  • Alabama directly sponsors specific and ongoing job training to ensure its workers are up to the job.
  • Visit the Business section of Insider for more stories.

The new Mercedes-Maybach GLS600 is an exercise in profligacy, rimed in chrome, Napa leather, and two-tone paint. It has an exclusive perfume, atomized through its ventilation system. It can be ordered with a champagne fridge, and silver flutes.

But this ultra-luxury SUV, which starts at $160,000, is not — like every other range-topping Maybach-branded vehicle before it — built in the flagship Sindelfingen plant, near Mercedes’ global headquarters in Stuttgart, Germany. It is built in Vance, Alabama, a small town between Birmingham and Tuscaloosa.

Why would The Best or Nothing brand choose to construct one of its priciest offerings in a state that regularly places at or near the bottom of national rankings in key indicators like education, health care, economy, and opportunity? Michael Göbel, president of Mercedes Benz United States International (MBUSI), the corporate subsidiary that has controlled the Alabama factory since its opening in 1997, cites a variety of reasons.
