US, Israeli National Security Advisors Discuss Iran’s Weapons Supply To Russia

U.S. National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan and Israeli National Security Advisor Dr. Eyal Hulata convened a virtual meeting of the U.S.-Israel Strategic Consultative Group (SCG) on Thursday.

Senior representatives from foreign policy, defense, and intelligence agencies also participated in the meeting, according to the White House.

Officials reviewed significant regional developments since the last SCG meeting, including the current situation with respect to Iran. They further discussed Iran’s growing military relationship with Russia, including the transfer of weapons the Kremlin is deploying against Ukraine, targeting its civilian infrastructure, and Russia’s provision of military technology to Iran in return.

Officials expressed commitment to countering Iran’s threats to the region, and to ensuring that Iran can never acquire a nuclear weapon.

They also discussed the broad array of economic sanctions imposed in recent months against Iran, reviewed ongoing cooperation and exercises between the U.S. military and Israel Defense Forces, and assessed means for enhancing Israel’s security and economic integration throughout the Middle East region.

Expion360 Shares Spike On Supply Agreement With Overland Trailer For High Energy Lithium Batteries

Expion360 Inc. (xpon) shares are surging more than 194 percent on Friday morning trade after the company announced that it has been selected as the exclusive supplier of high-energy lithium-ion batteries for an overland trailer to be branded and sold by a U.S. sports utility vehicle manufacturer.

Expion360 said it plans to begin shipping lithium batteries to the trailer manufacturer in the first quarter of 2023. Despite being half the weight, Expion360 lithium batteries can provide three times the power and 10 times the number of charging cycles compared to standard lead-acid batteries.

Currently, shares are at $2.88, up 193.90 percent from the previous close of $0.97, on a volume of 19,711,370.

More than 200 flights canceled at Denver International Airport Friday

After a winter storm stranded hundreds of people at Denver International Airport Thursday, over 200 flights in or out of the airport have been canceled Friday as well.

240 total flights have been canceled as of 6:45 a.m. Friday; 145 arriving flights and 95 departing flights.

Southwest has 95 canceled flights, the most of any airline at the airport; United has canceled 56; SkyWest has 54 canceled; Frontier has 17 canceled; Alaska Airlines has 5 canceled; Delta has 4 canceled; Jazz and Spirit have 2 canceled each; and American Airlines has 1 canceled.

An additional 103 flights have also been delayed.

Denver traffic: I-70 westbound closed in Aurora due to multi-vehicle crash

Interstate 70 westbound is closed at Tower Road in Aurora due to a multi-vehicle crash.

The crash, which was reported by the Aurora Police Department at 5:31 a.m., involved both tractor-trailers and cars.

Only non-life-threatening injuries have been reported so far, police said, but there is no estimated time for reopening.

Immuron Surges After Receiving FDA Approval For Travelan

Shares of Immuron Ltd (IMRN) are gaining more than 50 percent on Friday morning trade after the company received FDA approval for Travelan Investigational New Drug or IND application.

The IND is to evaluate the efficacy of a single dose of Travelan to prevent infectious diarrhea caused by enterotoxigenic Escherichia coli or ETEC. Immuron said it plans to initiate a human clinical trial with 60 healthy volunteers in the USA.

Currently, shares are at $2.54, up 46.96 percent from the previous close of $1.73 on a volume of 10,876,190.

BIT Mining Stocks Continue In Bearish Trend

BIT Mining Ltd. (BTCM) shares are sliding more than 12 percent on Friday morning trade, continuing a bearish trend since December 21. The shares have reached a year-to-date low today.

Currently, shares are at $1.62, down 12.40 percent from the previous close of $1.85 on a volume of 112,385.

Littleton apartment building evacuated in morning fire

No one was injured in a fire at a Littleton apartment building Friday morning, though two had to be rescued by firefighters.

South Metro Fire Rescue responded to a fire at 5519 S. Windemere St. at about 8:40 a.m. Friday and reported “heavy smoke” on the first floor of the three-story building. All residents were evacuated, including two who needed assistance.

The fire was out by about 10 a.m., and fire crews said they were working with the City of Littleton and the building owner to determine when residents of the 24 apartments could safely return.
