How YouTube helped this firefighter save four frightened ducklings

The audio of duck calls from a YouTube video helped save four frightened ducklings from a storm drain.

A firefighter in Littleton, Colo., scooped four baby birds from water in the bottom of the drain, but their four siblings were hiding in a nearby pipe.

The quick-thinking firefighter used his cellphone to play YouTube video of the calls, prompting the tiny quackers to waddle toward the sound.

South Metro Fire Rescue posted video of the rescue on Twitter.

“The full flock of 8 ducklings were safely reunited with their mother nearby,” the tweet said.
