Lauren Boebert Tried To Politicize Cicadas. Twitter Users Told Her To Bug Off.
Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) bugged out with a weird take on cicadas.
The QAnon-endorsing Republican tried to spin the billions-strong Brood X insects that are causing havoc across the U.S. into a political attack on fellow members of Congress, most notably House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.)
“The media needs to quit acting like the cicadas are the worst creatures in DC,” Boebert tweeted on Thursday. “I can list several that are worse, starting with the Speaker of the House.”
Twitter users mocked Boebert for appearing to have a lack of self-awareness, naming her and other Donald Trump acolytes who they thought should be on the list instead:

Bill Belichick: Patriots QB Cam Newton ‘all right’ after hand injury
Cam Newton hasn’t been seen on the practice field since suffering a hand injury last week and won’t be at Patriots practice on Thursday. However, Bill Belichick says the veteran quarterback’s injury isn’t serious.
The Patriots coach gave a brief update on Newton during his Thursday morning news conference.
“He’s doing all right,” Belichick said. “He won’t participate today, but he’s getting better.”
When asked if the hand injury was "serious," Belichick responded, “No. He’s not out there, but I think he’ll be all right. Yeah.”
Newton suffered his hand injury last Friday when the media was in attendance for practice. It occurred after an 11-on-11 drill. The NFL Network reported Newton’s hand hit a teammate's helmet after one of his throws and he suffered a bone bruise. That seemed to be the case as the quarterback exited the next drill to check in with the team medical staff.
