Best friend of Cardiff crash victim slams police as he found car first
The best friend of one of the passengers who died in a devastating car crash in Wales has criticised police after he found the wreckage before they did. The crashed VW Tiguan was discovered by Matthew Pace, 45, and his son Lewis. Lewis said he and Rafel were “best mates” and had last spoken to him on Thursday night.
DICK'S Sporting Goods Up 9% As Sales Improve In Q4
Shares of DICK’S Sporting Goods, Inc. (DKS) are gaining more than 9 percent on Tuesday morning trade after the company’s fourth-quarter net sales increased to $3.597 billion, up 7.3 percent from the previous close of $3.352 billion last year. Comparable-store sales also were up 5.3 percent.
Currently, shares are at $144.66, up 9.48 percent from the previous close of $132.14 on a volume of 300,383.
Zynex Stock Slips 18%
Shares of Zynex Inc. (ZYXI) are slipping over 18% on Tuesday morning after the company announced its decision to postpone fourth-quarter and full-year 2022 financial results release and conference call.
ZYXI is currently trading at $10.10, down $2.31 or 18.61%, on the Nasdaq. The stock has traded between $4.97 and $17.25 in the past 52-week period.
Zynex, Inc. is a medical device manufacturer that produces and markets electrotherapy devices for use in pain management, physical rehabilitation, neurological diagnosis and cardiac monitoring.
Zynex postponed the release of its fourth quarter and full year financial results and conference call initially scheduled for Monday, March 6, 2023 at 4:15 p.m. ET.
The company will announce its fourth quarter and full year 2022 financial results and conference call schedule in a future press release to allow additional time to complete its year-end closing procedures.
Rivian Automotive Stock Slips 12% As It Announces $1.3 Bln Notes Offering
Shares of Rivian Automotive Inc. (RIVN) are slipping nearly 12% on Tuesday morning after the company announced plans to raise $1.3 billion in cash through a sale of convertible notes.
Rivian announced on late Monday that it plans to sell the convertible notes to help fund the development and launch of its upcoming smaller R2 series of vehicles, now expected in 2026.
The institutional investors purchasing the notes will have the option to buy additional notes worth up to $200 million, if they choose, above the initial $1.3 billion.
The EV maker had $12.1 billion on hand as of the end of 2022, it said during its fourth-quarter earnings presentation February 28, enough to fund its operations through 2025.
RIVN is currently trading at $15.15, down $1.98 or 11.59%, on the Nasdaq.
Three-Year Note Auction Attracts Above Average Demand
The Treasury Department kicked off this week’s series of announcements of the results of its long-term securities auctions on Tuesday, revealing this month’s sale of $40 billion worth of three-year notes attracted above average demand.
The three-year note auction drew a high yield of 4.635 percent and a bid-to-cover ratio of 2.73.
Last month, the Treasury also sold $40 billion worth of three-year notes, drawing a high yield of 4.073 percent and a bid-to-cover ratio of 2.33.
The bid-to-cover ratio is a measure of demand that indicates the amount of bids for each dollar worth of securities being sold.
The ten previous three-year note auctions had an average bid-to-cover ratio of 2.53.
The Treasury is due to announce the results of this month’s auction of $32 billion worth of ten-year notes and $18 billion worth of thirty-year bonds on Wednesday and Thursday, respectively.
