Caso Cerrado

SBS Viceland, 10.55pm

A Spanish language hit in the United States and Latin America with wild plots worthy of a telenovela, Caso Cerrado (approximately translated as Case Closed) is an entertaining court case show where the facts seemingly go hand in hand with an outrageous story. With Cuban-American lawyer Ana Maria Polo as the binding arbiter, the hearings are what scientists would call a hot mess. This episode's cases include a trio of pregnant women wanting to live in the house of the deceased father of their unborn children, a 10-year-old with bleak premonitions of the future, and a pair of YouTube stars with second thoughts about working in porn. Yet it's delivered with excited dedication – everyone is so happy to be heard.
