Liz Truss has insisted she will lead the Conservatives into the next election as Sir Graham Brady, chairman of the 1922 Committee, entered Downing Street to discuss whether she should resign. With Conservative MPs insisting that she should go now as opinion poll ratings continue to collapse, a beleaguered Ms Truss has made a last ditch effort to remain in post.
