It is reported that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are set to move to a house on the Queen’s Windsor estate this summer – leaving behind Kensington Palace. The move might not be the only big change in the royal couple’s daily life, with an aide saying they could be set to expand their social media activity.

A senior aide said: “ Prince William is very aware of the need to use new ways of communication, and I wouldn’t rule out a Cambridge appearance on TikTok. He understands that a life of public service in the 21st century is going to be done differently from your grandmother and father.”

The Cambridges will take their son Prince George, 8, and daughter Princess Charlotte, 7, out of their current school in Battersea by the end of the school year.

Prince George and Princess Charlotte will then be joined by their younger brother Prince Louis, 4, at a new school in Berkshire in early September.

The Royal couple will retain their property at Kensington Palace as their London home despite moving to Berkshire.

The couple will also retain Anmer Hall, which the paper reports they will continue to use ‘regularly’.

A close friend of the royal couple reportedly explained that they plan to move there on a more permanent basis after their children have finished schooling, adding: “They love it up there, it’s their happy place.”

The move to Windsor means the royal couple will be near to the home of the Duchess’s parents, the Middletons, who live 45 minutes away by car in the village of Buckleberry.

It has been speculated that the royal couple could one day eventually move into Windsor Castle.

But before any decisions are made on that front, William is said to be dreading his upcoming 40th birthday next week, with an inside source saying he finds the prospect ”so daunting”.

It comes after William and Kate took centre-stage at the Platinum Jubilee celebrations last weekend.

They appeared on the balcony twice and during Saturday night’s Party at the Palace celebrations.

They were also joined by their George and Charlotte as they brought the Platinum Jubilee celebrations to Wales while visiting concert rehearsals at Cardiff Castle.
