Four people were injured overnight in two separate Aurora shootings, and police say the suspects in each incident are still at large.
Just after midnight Monday morning, officers reported a double shooting at East Alameda Avenue and South Peoria Street. Aurora police say they responded to the area due to reports of street racing with vehicles blocking the intersection and fireworks shooting off. When officers arrived, they found a juvenile boy and girl shot. Both kids are expected to survive, police say.
The shooter remains at large, according to APD.
After 5:30 a.m., police shared that they had responded to an apartment at 1324 Xanadu St. for a double shooting. A man and a woman are in critical condition, officials say. A large police presence has the area shut down as officers canvas for a suspect.
