Argentina football manager Lionel Scaloni has been taken to hospital after being injured in a bicycle accident in Mallorca.
Spanish police confirmed to Sky News that the 40-year-old, who had a brief stint at West Ham during his playing career, was knocked over by a car while cycling on the island on Tuesday.
The collision, which involved a Toyota car, took place in the car park of the Agora Portals International School.
Police in Calvia said the driver was reversing at the time and did not see Scaloni, but called the emergency services when he realised what had happened.
Scaloni, who became head coach of his national team in November last year, is not thought to be seriously injured, but has been taken to the nearby Son Espases hospital.
