Denver's Elitch Gardens set to reopen May 1 — The Know

Elitch Gardens will reopen to the general public on May 1 and to season pass-holders the weekend of April 24-25.

State and city officials on Monday formally approved the Denver theme park moving forward with opening for the 2021 season with new health and safety guidelines in place, in addition to a reservation system, according to a press release.

There will be a limit of 3,200 guests allowed in the park at once, which amounts to about 18% capacity. Visitors must wear a face mask; children under 2 or customers on water rides will be exempt. There will be a verbal screening at the gate, and park employees will undergo daily temperature readings.

Season passes for 2021 are available online at ElitchGardens.com. Details on one-day tickets and mandatory reservations were not yet available on the park’s website. Those guests who had purchased a ticket in 2020 will be able to use that same ticket for 2021.

“There is no effort required on your part for this transfer as you will be able to simply redeem the same ticket received when purchased,” according to Elitch Gardens’ website.

The park is also hiring up to 1,500 seasonal workers, ages 16 and over. Go to ElitchGardens.com/jobs or call 303-595-0880 for details.
