People on the verge of eviction because of the pandemic are invited to a free workshop to learn about their rights and resources for help.
Experts from Colorado Housing Connects and Colorado Legal Services will host a virtual eviction prevention seminar at 6 p.m. Thursday. Spanish-language interpretation is available for those who need it. To register, go to: http://bit.ly/2-25evictionworkshop.
The workshop will let people know about late fees, rental assistance and what steps to take to understand how the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s eviction moratorium works. The moratorium expires March 31.
Colorado Housing Connects is operated by the nonprofit Brothers Redevelopment, which runs a housing helpline at 1-844-926-6632.
