Kate ‘stunning’ in blue 14 years after making debut as William’s girlfriend

Kate Middleton attended one of the oldest royal traditions on Monday, wowing royal fans while looking "stunning" in blue 14 years after making her royal debut as William's girlfriend.

The Duchess of Cambridge was at the Order of the Garter, founded by King Edward III in 1348, where she first appeared alongside William as his girlfriend in 2008.

William also received his Order of the Garter knighthood at the same event, People reported.

Kate and William met at university in Edinburgh and began dating in 2003, eventually tying the knot in 2011 at Westminster Abbey.

Kate appeared at the 2011 instalment of the historic event alongside William wearing a silver Katherine Hooker dress and matching coat with grey suede pumps and a matching hat.

At the same event in 2014 Kate turned heads in a pastel blue Christopher Kane coat dress.

On Monday, Kate arrived in a bright blue coat dress by Alexander McQueen and a matching hat by Juliette Botterill.

Reacting to her outfit online, one person wrote: "Wow!!!! My favorite Royal ladies wearing my favorite shades of Pink and Blue!!! Sophie, Countess of Wessex and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge looking stunning!!"

"The blue shade is so soft," added another person with a love heart eyes emoji, as another added that the Duchess and Sophie were "two beautiful women with grace and dignity."

"This man is always checking out his wife," wrote another person alongside a picture of William gazing lovingly at Kate.

It wasn't just her blue outfit that caught people's attention as the Duchess sparked a social media debate among fans who spotted her latest injury, and speculated whether the keen cook and mother-of-three is accident prone.

While attending the Jubilee in the Castle in Cardiff with Prince William, The Duke of Cambridge and their two children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, on Friday June 10 she was seen with a new plaster on her right thumb while greeting guests.
