Man, 46, fatally struck by arrow is victim of homicide: London police

London police say the death of a man struck by an arrow early Tuesday morning is being investigated as a homicide.

“The deceased has been identified as Brian Peter Maksoud,” Const. Sandasha Bough told 980 CFPL.

“Through the course of the investigation, with the assistance of the coroner, it’s been determined that he was the victim of a homicide.”

Just before 1 a.m. Tuesday, emergency services responded to Arbour Glen Crescent, off Kipps Lane in the city’s northeast end, after someone called 911.

The 46-year-old London man was rushed to hospital with a life-threatening injury for emergency surgery but later died in hospital.

At this point, no information has been released about any suspect or suspects or about the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Police are appealing for information from anyone who had any contact with Maksoud between Sunday and early Tuesday, or anyone with information that may assist in the investigation.

“Every piece of information that we receive right now could assist us in this investigation,” Bough added.

“If you don’t want to call headquarters, if you don’t want to provide a name, you can also use Crime Stoppers. You can give us that information anonymously.”

Individuals can call police at 519-661-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
