Meghan Markle could pass on surprise condition to her and Prince Harry’s kids

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's children could inherit a genetic condition from the Duchess of Sussex.

Photos of Meghan from her second pregnancy suggest she has hypermobile joints, a condition which isn't painful but does require muscle training and stretches to prevent limbs going numb, HELLO reports.

In pics taken at the National Theatre during her second pregnancy, Meghan's thumb can be seen bending back a little further than usual.

An osteopath told the magazine this was typical for a hypermobility sufferer – and that the condition is typically hereditary.

Anisha Joshi said: "People with hypermobility are often able to move their limbs in ways others can’t, much like the photo in which Meghan's thumb appears bent uncomfortably.

"It means that some or all of a person's joints can have an unusually large range of movement.

"Hypermobility is a hereditary condition with the main cause of it being genetically determined changes to collagen, a type of protein in the body found in ligaments, to support them.

"Not enough collagen in the body can make joints loose and stretchy."

It's by no means guaranteed Lillibet and Archie will inherit the condition – and Meghan hasn't confirmed she even has it – but it's more than possible judging by the osteopath's statement.

Lillibet, Archie and other potential sufferers would not have any chronic pain, but they would have a bigger range of movement in their joints.

That sounds like a good thing, but it really means those with the condition have to work to strengthen the surrounding muscles to ensure stability.

Joshi added: "Many people with hypermobility don’t experience pain, and strength training is great to keep symptoms at bay – such as joints popping out or dislocating."

Meghan having hypermobile joints might go some way to explain why she's so good at yoga, something which became clear in pictures published on lifestyle blog The Tig.
