Model who offered nudes for Maui wildfire donations has GoFundMe page removed

An model who set up a GoFundMe for Maui wildfire victims has seen the page deleted after offering up nudes to anyone who donated $10 (over £7).

Model Mariah Casillas, also known as ‘Lavaxgrll’ had created the GoFundMe in an effort to support the humanitarian efforts following Hawaii wildfires that have killed more than 110 people and destroyed more than 2,200 buildings.

Mariah decided to offer up additional nude content for anyone who shared proof they donated $10 or more to her campaign in a bid to increase donations for the "sacred" island but the plan backfired.

It initially led to her raising more than $6,000 (around £4,700) with over 300 donations in a couple of days before the plug was pulled on the campaign altogether. Then the model rallied her supporters on X (formerly known as Twitter) with a back-up plan.

She said: “GoFundMe took down my account but that isn’t going to stop me from doing what I can to help the people of Maui. I’ll be making a list of nonprofits to donate towards instead, you can still send me your screenshots!”

The model’s unique way to raise money for the island took off having attracted 1.3 million views on X where she first posted the risqué message.

She wrote: “F*** it, sending nudes to everyone who donates at least $10 to my Maui wildfire fundraiser. I love this beautiful island too much. RT and DM me after donation, I’ll be checking ;).”

She called Maui a "sacred" and "beautiful place" saying "they really need our help". “I’m just being the influencer, so to say, to try to get everybody on the same page to help and do what they can in this time of need,” she added.
